Today was a thinking day. I tried to visualize what the city should look like. I still believe that for this project, I will need the physical model.
I added more to the drawings I did on Friday. I also tried to think about how exactly the elevators will go up the pillar, what the incline of the ramps will be, how to support the ramps, and the rising challenge I had neglected: the actual roadways of the levels. Based on the drawings, it looks as though the streets will be relatively boring and straight, so they will reach everywhere. In every set of 4 plots, there will be roadways etween them, and something like a roundabout in the centre. This is also necessary so that space is not taken up in other people's plans.
It would be great, I would guess, if the roads could be supported...like in the air...
Than again, it would also be great if we had hovercars that propelled soley on the magnetism of the Earth's core.
So I digress.
The actual ramp would have to be made of something light enough to be supported. It would be great if I could use cobblestones, and mortar it and all...but I don't know if it would work.
I still want a roof that WOULD be solar panels. For the model...it'll probably be paper.
It would be awesome if PHS wasn't so welfare.
And if the Tech Dept wasn't considered the fallback area.
And we had the people, time and resources to actually make a city.
Out of actual stuff.
Hey, there's a ranty field assignment.
...Not. No it's just jokes.
peace.
